Run/Walk - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2013

Many Hands, a 501c(3) non-profit founded in Williamston, MI, is excited to host the 2nd annual 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, September 28, 2013.  The purpose is to raise funds for the Weekend Survival Kits backpack program for Elementary-age children dealing with hunger in WILLIAMSTON.  Proceeds from this event will support the backpack program at Williamston Elementary Schools which includes Little Hornets/Head Start, Discovery and Explorer.

There are many ways you can help:

1.  Pass the word on about this event.  This 5k Run/Walk will be chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, awards to top 3 places for Men & Women in each age group, shirts to all participants who register by September 1st and Kids Fun Run – all registered kids will get a t-shirt and engraved medal.

2. Register for the event.  Online registration and hard copy registration forms are available on our website at www.manyhandsmi.org

4. Grab bag of goodies.  We will be handing out a bag of goodies to all participants.  If you’d like to have coupons, handouts or giveaways for your company included please mail to or drop off at Evergreen Financial, 1288 W. Grand River Ave., Suite 400 in Williamston (By Dr. Watts and in the Red Cedar Family Care Bldg)

5. Be Corporate Sponsor.  A sponsorship of under $100.00 will get your company’s logo on the race page of our official website.  Donations of $100.00 or more will be categorized and displayed on the race shirts in this order:

PLATINUM: $1,000.00 and above
GOLD: $500.00 to $999.99
SILVER: $250.00 to $499.99
BRONZE: $100.00 to $249.99

100% of your sponsorship is TAX-DEDUCTIBLE and will go to support the backpack program in WILLIAMSTON.  $25.00 will provide 15 dinners, 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches to a hungry child in need.  $200.00 will provide enough food to support one child for the entire school year.  That’s 120 dinners, 80 breakfasts and 80 lunches!  Please mail donations to Many Hands by Sept. 3rd or drop off at 1288 W. Start Time: 9:00am for 5k Run / Walk.  10:30am for Kid’s Fun Run.

Entry Fee: By August 1st- $20 w/ shirt; By September 1st- $25 w/ shirt    Race Day: $30 – shirt not guaranteed

Kids Fun Run:  1 mile Fun Run around McCormick Park for kids 12 and under.  ALL registered participants will receive a t-shirt and engraved medal.  Entry fee $5.
